WEPA session at 12th International Symposium on Southeast Asian Water Environment (SEAWE12)


All 13 WEPA partner countries participated in the 12th International Symposium on Southeast Asian Water Environment (SEAWE12) which was organised by National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE, Vietnam), Research Center for Water Environment Technology, The University of Tokyo (UT, Japan) and Southeast Asian Center for Water Environment Technology, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT, Thailand) and co-organised by United Nations University, Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS, Japan) and Water Environment Partnership in Asia (WEPA), Ministry of the Environment (MOE, Japan).

WEPA organised one of its parallel sessions under the theme of Groundwater Pollution Control – To prevent and mitigate impacts of industrial activities. Following the keynote presentation, seven WEPA partner countries presented the situation on groundwater pollution, its expected causes and how to control and mitigate it in each country.
