The 5th World Water Forum official session
“Data Integration and Dissemination: From Data to Information”

The WEPA activities were introduced by Dr. Mitsumasa Okada, chair of WEPA Advisory Committee, at a session of the 5th World Water Forum entitled “Data Integration and Dissemination: From Data to Information”, which was held on 20 March 2009, in Istanbul, Turkey. The session was organized by the United Nation Statistics Division (UNSD) and the National Water Commission (CONAGUA) - Mexico. WEPA’s experiences were shared in the context of searching frameworks for data integration and analysis to support decision making and policy development in the water sector at a range of levels.
