Environmental protection costs

It is no an easy task to measure the amount of national government budget allocated for water environmental administration. It is because there are several institutions involved in water environment administrative, such as ministry of Environment, Public Works, and Forestry. Existing National budget for Enviromental sector in 2003 Rp. 262.65 billions (US$ 29 millions). However, this budget allocation was decreased in 2004 to Rp. 241.90 billions (US$ 27 millions). This environmental budget then allocated for several enviromental program within government agencies as the following:
