Organizational arrangement : Cambodia

Council of Ministers

Ministry of Environment (MoE) Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MoWRAM) Ministry of Industry, Mine and Energy (MIME) Ministry of Agriculture and, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC)

Based on the Law on Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Management which was launched by the National Assembly in 1996, the Ministry of Environment plays an important role of facilitating 12 other ministries related to management of water environment and both freshwater and marine water in accordance with the Royal Government Policy in Poverty Alleviation.

The concerned ministries and agencies include such as:
1) Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MoWRAM)
2) Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT)
3) Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF)
4) Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC)
5) Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy (MIME)
6) Ministry of Planning (MoP)
7) Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC)
8) Ministry of Rural Development (MRD)
9) Ministry of Tourism (MoT)
10) Ministry of Interior (MoI)
11) Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC)
12) National Disaster Management Committee (NDMC)

The following ministries and the Cambodia National Mekong Committee directly involve in the water resource management of the country: MoWRAM, MPWT, MAFF, MIME, and CNMC.
