The EMB headquarters and regional offices are organized. There are 16
EMB regional offices within the country and about one half of the regional
offices are provided with a laboratory. However, the functions of the regional
office’s laboratory vary from region to region.
There are only 12 staff of the EMB Central Office that are assigned in
the Water Quality Management Section whose main function is the formulation
of policies, plans and programs, standards and rules and regulations on
Water Quality Management and Pollution Control while the regional offices
have 56 staff assigned to enforce policies, rules and regulations.
