Summary
Mrs. Eroh is a simple and poor villager. Her daily routine is as a peasant with the income of around Rp. 300/day. The eruption of the Galunggung Mountain changed field and estates into sand that makes water reserve for agriculture limited. She created water way that hangs on the roots of trees along the hill. She slice the stony hill to make the water way. Assisted by 19 workers, she managed to make tunnel of 2 meter wide as long as 4.5 kilometers by penetrating 8 hills to get into the village of Pasir Kadu. The work was completed in 2.5 years continually using a number of tools namely 30 chisels, 15 axes, 10 shovels, 10 crowbars, 25 machetes, 40 hoes, and 10 hammers. The effort is successful in watering 75 hectares of rice field using technical irrigation.
