2.3.2. Tributaries

The tributaries of the river system flowing into the Gulf of Thailand include the following:

  • Preak Toek Chhu flows into the Gulf of Thailand, and has a basin area of 2,061 km². The area receives about 1,916 mm of rain per year and the average runoff is estimated at 4,540 m³/s.
  • Prek Kompong Som flows into the Gulf of Thailand, and has a basin area of 2,645 km². The area receives about 3,495 mm of rain per year and the average runoffis estimated at 5,143 m³/s.
  • Prek Piphot flows into the Gulf of Thailand, and has with a basin area of 1,164 km². The area receives about 4,604 mm of rain per year and the average runoff is estimated at 3,412 m³/s.
  • Stung Chhay Areng flows into the Gulf of Thailand, and has a basin area of 2,107 km². The area receives about 4,604 mm of rain per year and the average runoff is estimated at 4,590m³/s.
  • Stung Sala Munthun flows into the Gulf of Thailand, and has a basin area of 1,568 km². The area receives about 4,604 mm of rain per year and the average runoff is estimated at 3,960m³/s.
  • Stung Russei Chrum flows into the Gulf of Thailand, and has a basin area of 2,726 km². The area receives about 4,604 mm of rain per year and the average runoff is estimated at 5,221m³/s.
  • Stung Metoek flows into the Gulf of Thailand, and has a basin area of 1,135 km². The area receives about 4,604 mm of rain per year and the average runoff is estimated at 3,369 m³/s.
  • The Stung in the south catchments of Cambodia flows into the Gulf of Thailand, and has a basin area of 1,959 km². The area receives about 1,500 mm of rain per year and the average runoff is estimated at 4,426 m³/s.
  • The Stung in the south catchments of Cambodia flows into the Gulf of Thailand, and has a basin area of 2,084 km². The area receives about 1,500 mm of rain per year and the average runoff is estimated at 4,565 m³/s.
