Organizational arrangement : Cambodia

Council of Ministers > Cambodia National Mekong Committee

As a governmental institution, the Cambodia National Mekong Committee has the following major functions;

  • coordinating, collaborating with, advising to, and following up relevant divisions of the ministries concerned and line agencies, in order to implement all government decisions related to the Mekong River and its tributaries;
  • strengthening the cooperation with the respective the other member of National Mekong Committee, donors, international organisations in order to research, study, design, develop, manage, and maintain water and related resources, including water quality;
  • facilitating and cooperating with the Mekong River Commission and international communities for seeking financial resources in order to study and develop projects desirable outputs.
