WEPA Workshop on Industrial Wastewater Management

Overview
The 7h International Workshop was held on 25th January 2016 at Vansana Riverside Hotel, Vientiane, Lao P.D.R. In the workshop, Industrial Wastewater Management was focused from the view how to enhance the industries’ compliance from 3 approaches below and effective policy tools/systems of each approach were shared among WEPA partner countries and further discussed factors/conditions that function policy tools/systems of each approach more effectively A) Law enforcement by Local Government Units (LGUs) B) Enhancement of support to LGUs, and C) Raising incentives of industries 42 policy makers of related governmental ministries and water experts from 12 countries participated and contributed to the workshop.
